Our take:

The Kayano's 17th iteration continues all the things we've come to love about the shoe. The gel in the mid-sole gives it an extremely well-cushioned feel without making the shoe feel excessively  soft and the DuoMax foam is supportive enough for most moderate over-pronators. You might do a double-take when you glance down at the off-center laces for the first time, but it definitely makes the shoe fit nicely.
